Woohooo! First comic page of 2018!

So I was playing some Medieval II: Total War Crusades Campaign the other day and I felt a bit inspired to do some more work on my comic (since I'm a bit behind). I’m determined to get caught up on my monthly quota for this thing, so this is my January page, and the others are coming—I promise! I also just got a new scanner, so this is the first thing I’ve scanned on it, so yay! Also, I'm now definitely sold on inking this with my normal dip nibs instead of with ballpoint pen. And just shading in everything else with black gouache instead of digitally adding the star background. It's so much faster, and I think it looks better too.

And not for the last time: poor Godfrey.
