Then He said to them:“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed and lost?"(Luke 9:23-25)

Several months ago, my sister requested me to do a calligraphy piece for her, but as she kept going back and forth on what she wanted me to do, I only somewhat recently got this particular request. She wanted me to do a calligraphy piece of Saint Francis de Sales' "Your Cross." Hopefully the letters are clear enough to read, so I won't type it all out down here. In any case, for whatever reason, this one took me awhile to getting around to do, (hence the comic to kick me back in art-gear). But here it is! I have another calligraphy commission to do, but I'm still working on the layout for that one. In any case, hopefully I'll be cranking out some more pieces for you all.

FAITHFUL Cross! Above all other,
one and only noble Tree!
None in foliage, none in blossom,
none in fruit thy peers may be;
sweetest wood and sweetest iron!
Sweetest Weight is hung on thee!
