”O ST. JOSEPH, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in thee all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph, assist me by thy powerful intercession and obtain for me all spiritual blessings through thy foster Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord, so that, having engaged here below thy heavenly power, I may offer thee my thanksgiving and homage.
O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating thee and Jesus asleep in thine arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near thy heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for me.”

requested that I draw St. Joseph for her (since she got my 50,000 kiriban, this is her picture request). I hope you like it!
I was actually very happy when she asked me to make a piece for St. Joseph, since I’ve been wanting to for a very, very long time to make something honoring the adoptive father of Jesus and the Head of the Holy Family. Poor St. Joseph, he’s overlooked so often and he is so very powerful with God! So this is my little picture dedicated to him.
As for the picture itself, I am fairly pleased with how it turned out, especially as its becoming increasingly hot and humid here, and that always is a great detriment to my art.
So I really didn’t feel like working on it much this week but I decided to persist and persevere and chug through my lethargy and laziness and get it done!
So it got done. Finally.
I think on my last picture of the Divine Mercy I could have done better with the coloring so I remedied that in this piece. I think I did a much better coloring job on the gothic tracery and such. Also, I am particularly happy with how the stained glass came out on the sides.
As for St. Joseph and the Child Jesus, I’m not super
happy with them, but well enough satisfied that I’ll leave them alone.

"Saint Joseph, patron of the universal Church, watch over the Church as carefully as you watched over Jesus; help protect it and guide it as you did with your adopted son. Amen.
Pray for us, O blessed Saint Joseph,
Friend of the Sacred Heart and Chaste Spouse of the Immaculate Virgin,
that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Saint Joseph’s Feast Day is on March 19th. He has another Feast day celebrating his patronage of Workers on May 1st.
