Hooray! I finally have the time to draw again! :w00t!: Yeah...I should probably start on my ridiculous amount of AP U.S. history homework but I feel like drawing for most of my vacation. Bad procrastinator me. :XD:

Anywho, this is a picture of one of the major characters of my story ([link]): Princess Atherial. I think I'm going to change her name but that's what it is for now. When I came up with it I didn't even realize that it was too much like "ethereal" until later. :XD: Ah well. This is a *very* old picture that was supposed to be of her but then ended up not looking very much like her: [link]

In my story she is betrothed to Emperor Calthonan III ([link]) as a political alliance between their two nations. She pretty much hates him in the beginning since she sees him as the cause of most of her troubled life (which is very true, he is. But it's not his fault. :XD:) If I was drawing her as she looks for most of the time, she would be depressed, angry and angsty. I don't know why I depicted her like a blissful Disney princess. lol. Oh well. She becomes happier later.

Her culture is influenced heavily by the ancient Persian and Indian civilizations. Her dress and her symbols are all depictions of the lotus blossom. So I've dubbed this dress of hers "the lotus dress" (Unfortunately, like Arwen, she has an infinite amount of extravagent dresses that are all equally fun to draw. :XD:)

Oh my word, what a gorgeous ensemble. The gown is impressive, but I like the jewelry most... you can really see the Indian and Persian influence you say influenced it.
