This is NOT a scene from "Crown of the World" but more of an exaggeration of an idea. Like I said in my montage description, I don't know much about Malik because he comes in mostly in the second book (which I have not read) but I know that his Lady-love is Lady Maryam. And...from what I read in the first book he wasn't *cough* exactly the serenading type. :XD: Maryam seems suprised too. :XD:

Heheheh, this scene kind of reminds me of this one, from "My Fair Lady" so that's what he's singing. ;-)

Very catchy song! I'm just sorry I don't understand the language. :D I had never heard it before, but the movie looks interesting. So wait, was the guy about to get shot with a cannon? O.o

[link] From the film as well-- Salim's seduction of Anarkali over a period of three days, and Bahaar's jealousy. It's one of the sexiest things in the history of ever and there isn't even a kiss involved. BTW, if memory serves the musician is blind, that's why his eyes look a bit strange.

It's "Mughal-E-Azam" or "Greatest of Mughals" a movie set in Muslim occupied India under the reign of Akbar. It's one of my favorites. Here's the wiki page [link] . (It's in Urdu-- a language crossing Hindi with Arabic.) You can get it on Amazon with pretty good English subtitles. The black and white version is actually longer, but the color version has been remastered beautifully even if it is lacking some scenes. The dancer Bahaar ("Springtime") is one of my favorite characters, she's such a bitch. And yes, Prince Salim is about to be executed by Akbar with a cannon and the whole army and all his knights, moved by his plight, come to stand with him and brave the shrapnel. I'm not going to spoil anything else in case you want to watch it.

I'm glad you like it!!! ^^ This is on of my friends' favorites of them, but I think that's just because she's more biased towards Malik. ;-) I like Godfrey better. :D
