This was a lot of fun to do, I wanted to make a new ID for myself and I was partly inspired by Nimphaiwe's medieval one, ([link]) also I wanted to do a Morrowind one but have myself as a knight, so I did this! It's myself as a Christian knight praying. It says:
"Theophilus Shadowblade
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam et Animae Salutem"
which is my motto meaning: "For the Greater Glory of God and for my Soul's Salvation."
At the top pictured myself as a Carmelite Nun and at the bottom I'm a knight riding my trusty steed. (too bad I don't actually have one. )
Whooohoooo! My 100th Deviation!
Happy too see another Catholic nerdy girl, they make fun of us now but we'd be making men eat grass for fun doe.
I was reading about Joan of Flanders, daughter of the first Latin Emperor, she was talented at chess from a very young age. She defeated her husband, ten years older, and she beat her severily for it. As revenge, when he was captured at the Battle of Bouvine, she didn' bother paying his ramsom.
Margaret Beaufort, matriarch of the Tudor Dynasty, once challenged a proud nobleman who taunted her deceased father, to a series of games (horseriding, chess/cards, archery). She won and the chronicler says she "took out his manhood" so badly, he later wished to gain her love and sent almost 10k worth of jewelry. She then ordered the man to give his armour and family's coat of arms, which he complied. She went on and gave him just some female clothes. Yikes! Badass. And that's a woman who St. John Fisher said was a very pious one hehe.
They make fun of us now, even thought there's no room for us in this age praised for "liberation of women". Where are the Matildas of Tuscany, the Annas Comnenas and Eleanors of Aquitaine of today? They're usually depraved, old or non-sensical.
