This is a larger companion box to the little Gothic Box that I did a while back. I made this one as a Christmas gift for a friend of mine. I used a little gothic border along the sides and edges and sort of made up a little gothic rosette in the middle, all of which (coupled with the soft red-cherry color) actually makes me think more of Moorish arabesque kind of decorations rather than gothic. Ah well. I'm fairly happy with the results and enjoyed getting more chip-carving practice in, as I haven't done anything since I finished the other box back in April.

I love it, it looks very mystique and I am sure it would look good in any apartment no matter the style is. I'd like to have it as a gift for my birthday! Maybe I should give a clue to my boyfriend about it 
I remember the last present he gave me was a personalised photo rubik's cube diy with our photos on it. Honestly, it was kinda cute! I really liked the idea and I have it near my bed so I could wake up to it and go to bet with looking at it. Though now, I know what I'd like more !
